As Women and Girls develop, we are exposed to mass media and pop-culture that affect us psychologically, biologically, and socially. Gender role development and functioning are not confined to childhood but are negotiated throughout our life course.

Over the course of her life, Rev. Linda Seatts-Ogletree  experienced gender inequities and oppression that impacted her life.

It was Women's conferences, Women's groups and  her Faith,  that was instrumental in helping her understand the complexities of womanhood, and how to heal from damaged emotions. It was her mission to search for answers  to why she felt the way she did.

The answers over the years were muddled and unclear. However, It was after she identified the context for  her emotions and psychology that she founded Release & Refresh Women's Empowerment Series, Inc.  She wanted to minimize the pain and confusion Women and Girls experience,

unaware many times their uncertainties is a result of marginalization, oppression and overall gender inequity. She wanted Women and Girls to have a "safe" space to "Release the challenges of daily life" and Refresh with victorious solutions to become their best self."

Prior to establishing RRWES, she was adjunct faculty at Wayne State University (WSU) where she taught “Human Diversity and Conflict.”   She also is an Adjunct Professor  at Ashland Theological Seminary.

During her tenure at Wayne State University, she led the Office of International Students and Scholars for 15 years, where she was responsible for over 4,000 international students and 600 non-immigrant faculty and top researchers.

Rev. Seatts-Ogletree  also is a national diversity speaker, training employees and management of GM/Delphi, IRS, U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers, and many other clients.

She left Wayne State University after serving 20 years in administrative and leadership roles, to pursue her passion.

Rev. Seatts-Ogletree is a gifted and passionate writer of three books: the international best-selling book, 1) Did I Say That? How to Communicate in Everyday Life; 2) The Truth about the Superior Lie: A Book to Resurrect the Lives of African-Americans Crucified by the Lie! and 3) My New Life: A Handbook for Born-again Believers.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/Marketing from The Union Institute, Los Angeles, CA; a Master of Arts degree in Christian Ministry from Ashland Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.

She is a member of the NAACP; National Council of Negro Women, Inc.;  Color of Change PAC;  Women's March; March for Our Lives;  and the Michigan Non-Profit Association.

She was honored to travel throughout Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa where she traveled with Liberian President Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson. She is married to her soul -mate, Richard. They enjoy Traveling, Worshipping, and  spending time with Family and Friends.
